Uhm... Ii isn't my first or last problem, so I set up this thread. I believe, that you help me ;D.

It's a excerpt from the interview with Emma Watson. Maybe it isn't very difficult, but I always must be sure, that I'm right... So.. Look at this:

Question: "What do you mean with politics being an important subject of the story?"

Answer: "This film is closely related to the current situation. Somehow it talks about life after 7 July, the way people behave when they're scared, the way truth is often denied and all the things our society has to face. Facing the fact that the authority is corrupted means having a non-conformist approach to reality and power."

Question is easy to understand... "Co rozumiesz przez to, że polityka jest ważnym tematem w tej historii?". I'm right? But with answer I have little trouble... I'm not sure, that I'm transteted it correct. I did it in this way: "Film jest dokładnie powiązany z aktualną sytuacją. Mówi o życiu po 7 lipca, o drodze którą ludzie postępują, gdy są przestraszeni, drodze, w której często zaprzecza się prawdzie i o wszystkich rzeczach, którym nasze społeczeństwo musi stawiać czoła. Temu, że władze są skorumpowane...(?)". And I don't know what's matter in last part of Emma's utterance... Please, help me... xD

I'm aware of the fact it's been 4 months after writing this post, but I'd like to solve this problem in spite of my belief that Limonka managed to translate it correctly...

My translation of this part of the interview would look like this:

When I'm comparing original pieces of news with your translations I can see some imperfections... I recommend my services in any of such kind of linguistics problems. I don't know if you will be keen on it, but it's up to you.

I do not want to found the new subject, and have the request - I have to write the review from some war film on English - I wrote from The pianist, so, please put out all mistakes.

The Pianist is the biographic-war drama. The film describes fates of polish musican, Władysław Szpilman, Jewish origin, which together with the family becomes placed in the Warsaw ghetto. The famous, polish director Roman Polański is the creator of the film. Thanks to this, that he alone was the witness of the liquidation of the Cracow’s ghetto and he ran away and survived the whole war as Jew he could faithfully reproduce the historical truth. The numerous prizes (Oscar, BAFTA, Gold Palm, DGA, BSFC, Cesar)which he got for the screening of Szpilman’s remembrances, brought him fame in the whole world. Ronald Harwood occupied the script. He caused that the film had been settled chronologically, and the person, which didn’t read the book was very easily to understood, who is who. The second polish executor of The Pianist, after the Polański, is Paweł Edelman, which on his pictures very really gave back the picture of Warsaw from the II world war time. Wojciech Kilar composed music to the film, perfectly underlining the sad mood of the war.Actors’ appointment is the next, large trump of this film – we’ve seen the Adrien Brody in main role, which approved himself really professional professionalism. Materializing in Szpilmana, he advised oneself as musician and Jew during the war. He played very naturally, so prizes, which he got from The Pianist, have been admitted justly, there was: Oscar, Cesar and BSFC. Also Hollywood stars have been in the film: Maureen Lipman, in the mother Szpilmana part, Emily Fox, who materialized in main hero’s friend Dorothy, Ed Stoppard his actor's game also delighted, he was playing Szpilman’s brother. It didn’t lack however the place for Polish actrors, we could see: Maja Ostaszewska, Zofia Czerwińska, Joanna Brodzik, Krystyna Feldman, Borys Szyc, Paweł Małaszyński and Katarzyna Figura. Their acting also places itself on the high, world level. They materialized in their parts superbly, though they were this figure episodic.Adequate to the scenery of the film were also costumes (Anna B. Sheppard) and scenography (Sebastian T. Krawinkel). Though sometimes little perceptible, then they superbly underlined the climate of the film. Watching The pianist I had the impression that the cruelty of the war touched Jews more, than Poles. The introduced in the film holocaust made the largest impression on me. The director did not fear to introduce the cruelties which the war brought. Polański moved such matters, how racism and intolerance Germans in the face of Jews. The scenes of the execution are showed in The pianist very often, when German's officers have trown out on the window handicapped old man, or though the destruction of the Jewess who while displacing asked „Where will you take us?”. The action of the film is all the time alarming, moments tragical, and added to her music flowing from the piano icouse that the spectator is all the time in the tension. Large impression made me the scene, in which the German's officer (also the musician) gave the life to Szpilmanowi, even brought him a bread. The film pt. The pianist decidedly belongs to such, which it’s proper, and outright should look at though because of Szpilmana interesting biography – great musican. Exceptionally good direction and unusual music cause that the film is pompous, lofty, and also interesting in his content.
